INTEGRITY
Replica of a Gentleman's Cutter, circa 1880
In January 2010 the keel of Integrity was laid down. She is a 43' Gentleman's Cutter of circa 1880 and has been designed by Stirling & Son with careful reference to Nicholson's Marigold, Beavor-Webb's Partridge, G.LWatson's Vanduara, Dixon Kemp's Zoraida and Fife's Bloodhound. Inspired as a cruising racer, she can set 2,000 square feet of canvas in fine weather yet snug down to trysail and storm jib in poor conditions.
Her principal dimensions are: Length overall 43', beam 11', draught 7'6". She is built of oak and opepe with european larch planking. All hull fastenings are copper and bronze; lead external and internal ballast with bronze keel bolts and rudder hangings. The quarter sawn deck is of douglas fir; the masts and spars solid. All blocks are ash and her sails in white clipper canvas. She will launch in May 2012.
